About MI Path

Built to Turn Good Ideas Into Great Programs

MI Path was founded by Aurora Lemieux-McKissic, a Lansing-based program strategist, project manager, and community leader with experience across workforce development, education, entrepreneurship, and economic development.

Aurora created MI Path around a simple belief: organizations often have great ideas for serving their communities, but turning those ideas into well-designed, organized, and sustainable programs takes time, capacity, and the right systems.

That’s where MI Path comes in.

Through hands-on program design, implementation, operations, and evaluation support, MI Path helps mission-driven organizations move from “we have an idea” to “we have a program that works.”

Meet Aurora

Aurora’s work has consistently centered around building opportunities, managing programs, and bringing people and organizations together around a shared goal.

Her experience spans youth career readiness, workforce development, small business and entrepreneurship programming, community engagement, and cross-sector partnerships. She brings both a strategic and operational perspective to her work, meaning she doesn’t just help develop the vision. She helps build the structure, tools, timelines, partnerships, and processes needed to actually execute it.

Aurora currently serves as Director of Career & Education at Capital Area Michigan Works!, where she works at the intersection of education and workforce development and leads regional efforts connecting employers, educators, community partners, students, and job seekers.

Previously, she supported and coordinated small business and entrepreneurship programs at the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP), including cohort-based programs, pitch competitions, entrepreneur support initiatives, and community events.
